99 Honda Accord - 3.0 - Heater stopped working - Help needed
I've searched a ton on the subject - this is just the next step in a problem it seems -
Saturday the heater stop blowing hot. Took to a shop and they recommended thermostat... I changed the thermostat, put in new coolant, burped the system, confirmed no leaks and that WARM coolant was running throughout the entire system. Problem not fixed.
I found the threads on the water valve, WV cable and blend motor.
- I confirmed the valve is operational and not leaking (pulled the cable and actuated it open / shut)
- Point of reference - the water valve is in the 'SHUT' position
- I pulled the blend motor and dissembled to verify that the gears are not stripped AND the motor was operational (Lined up 9 AA batteries and wired to motor)
- I re-installed the blend motor in the car and had my son turn the car on... the blend motor activated and went back to the 'Shut' position i.e. cable retracted into the firewall towards the passenger cab
- I had my son test the controller by turning off the ac, turning the blower on high and changing the temp control from 60 to 90* - result was nothing - the blend motor doesn't move
This would lead one to think - ok - the AC/ heat controller is bad... only problem is that I have went into the engine compartment and opened the water valve fully ( by removing the cable from the blend motor) with the car running and at operating temp and the heat doesn't work. Heat gun read 152* on the hose going into the firewall.
Help... haha Thanks in advance!

Also- all controls on the controller read / react. Ac /off, vent assignment, 60-90*, etc.
fan turns off / on and full range of high to low.

Drive 5-10. No. Air is definitely blowing out at the windshield. But it is also blowing on the dash towards the Driver side next to the steering wheel, basically nothing coming out of the van next to the glove box.

Observations. When you change the mode button the air comes from different places. It definitely falls in order with what mode is selected. With the exception of air full-time blowing out of the bed next to the steering wheel.
So still no heat coming out of the vents... Any ideas where to head from here?
