Default Input shaft spring washer might be upside down

Hi guys. New to the honda tech forum. Glad to be a new member here!
I have a 1998 Civic Hatchback CX with a 5 spd manual transmission. Got 138,000kms on the clock and just replaced my Input shaft bearing a couple days ago. I installed the 2 washers on the input shaft in the correct order.....buuuuutttt..... I did not know that the spring washer had to be installed in a certain direction, so basically, I have a 50/50 chance that it was installed correctly. My car is still up on blocks with the tranny attached to the engine. My question is, what can happen if it was installed wrong-way-up? Will there be slow uneven wear to some of the internals of the transmission? Will there be any symptoms I can watch/listen out for? Can this cause a catastrophic failure while driving down the street without any warning? Thanks for the tips. I've been working on it outside in this crazy cold -21c weather and I really don't want to crack it open again until it gets warmer! Like I'm seriously willing to pay for a worn out part (due to my incorrect installation) if it can wait till spring! Ha ha!
