I'm looking for an OEM steering wheel for a 92'-95' Civic. Mine has 200,000+ miles on it, and is basically worn raw. It's shiny and slick to the touch, and the top is all rubbery and bends back and forth. Doesn't make for a good driving experience.
I want one in good condition, that doesn't exhibit the characteristics described above. My car does not have cruise-control, so I'd prefer a wheel without those controls, unless you can easily swap over the covers. I'll take one with or without an airbag. My airbag is presumably functional, although the cover is a little tatty. I want to keep the stock airbag, so that's why I'm looking for an OEM steering wheel, otherwise I'd replace with aftermarket.
Can get them from the local junkyard for cheap. Last I checked they had gray and black. Lmk if you'd be interested, I can snag it for you and ship via FedEx.
You should definitely upgrade yours by using the 99-01 Acura Integra leather-wrapped OEM wheel. Leather-wrapped was never offered on the 92-95 Civics, so this is a great upgrade!
It is basically a direct bolt-on replacement that takes less than 45 minutes. I have sold and installed many of these in Civics, Del Sols, and 94-98 Integras.
You will re-use the following from your original wheel:
- Air bag.
- "Cruise control delete" metal bracket & cover.
- "Boss plate cover" (The black plastic piece that routes the wires and holds the air bag connector. It is white and slightly different on the new wheel).
- The lower plastic cover that provides access to the air bag connector (your original cover also holds the red "shorting plug" for the air bag).
I can sell & ship one to you for $100 total (cost over $625 new at Acura dealer!!).
