Default reinstalling windsheild -how critical is glass primer?

As the title states, can I reinstall a windhshield with ONLY urethane adhesive and WITHOUT priming the glass with the suggested primer? I NEED to get this back in this weekend and the primer is not available locally.

I picked up some 3M 08060 Window-Weld. Is suggests 3M 08681 primer be applied to the glass, presumably as a bonding agent. I've got acetone to make sure the surface is as clear as it can get. Is that enough?

I have had friends install their windshields without primer, and be good to go just using the adhesive.
You should be fine, but make sure it's extremely clean, and do it at your own risk. Good luck.

I actually held off. Napa was able to get it for me first thing Monday morning and I stuck it in last night. $46 for a little 8oz bottle though and I used maybe 2 teaspoons. If anybody needs some, PM me.
