How do you remove the dashpot from the throttle body
How do you remove it? UNplug the vacuum and cap the manifold, remove the two screws on top. But what about the linkage that connects to the throttle plate?
Does it slide off or something?
I'm going to do this and I dont want to brake anything.

I believe you have to take off the plate and you can remove the linkage.
I can't remember clearly though, but worst case scenario just cut it and remove it that way.

Theres a nut but it has paint so i know honda means not to remove it. Probably send springs and clips flying everywhere.
I had a skunk2 manifold and 65 mm tb before so i know the dashpot doesnt do much.
I seen photos online that the lil plunger that goes into the dashpot has a c clip so i thought i coukd just pop the c clip off and remove the dashpot and leave the plate on the throttle body linkage.
But mine is like riveted on!

The dashpot stops the engine from dropping too far below idle speed. It's not necessary, Removing the check valve and looping capping the vacuum line will have the same effect without removing the dashpot.
Removing the dashpot cleans up the engine bay, but only if you take the time to remove the casting for the threaded holes too.

I dont fully believe the y8 manifold outperforms the a6.
I know theres gains but those can be
1. Larger tb
2. Iat located on intake
3. Higher fuel pressure from y8 fpr

The manifold plenum is also bigger, more air volume available, combined with a larger throttle body, means more air at your disposal.
Most gains would be netted via tuning, but the availability needs to be there as well..
Besides, it looks cooler.
