Icon5 Hard Starting Pilot 2004

I have a 2004 Honda Pilot with the following symptoms.

After sitting overnight, the engine starts in the morning with a normal length of cranking. After driving around and the engine fully warmed up, if I shut it down, wait 2 hours, then try to start again, then I have to crank the engine for a long time with two tries, each greater than 5 seconds, before it starts with hesitation, sounding like it doesn't want to start. If I wait less time after shutdown (30-45 minutes), it starts with hesitation after one longer crank. However, if I shut it down and immediately (0-5 minutes later) try to restart, the engine starts normally (short crank, fires right up without hesitation). I've also tried shutting down warm engine, waiting 2 hours, then starting with throttle pedal all the way down (clear flood). The engine did start. What kind of problem might I have and what should I check? Thanks!
