Default 2000 Honda CRV No start , No spark

2000 Honda CRV just quit running. No spark.
Tach needle does not appear to move when cranking . So checked it out using this simple procedue ( Part 1 -How to Test the Igniter, Ignition Coil Accord, Civic, CRV, and Odyssey ). Got power to distributor (yellow/black wire) I found that the ecm is sending a pulses signal to igniter ( LED flashed on/off - yellow /green . I hope so as I think that I think that the CPS might buried under the timing cover ( where is it ? - Honda /Acura B20B DOHC engine). Things are looking closer to it being a distributor problem guess since the was no CEL or code stored. Correct ? However, I would also like to check the CPS (crankshaft position sensor) How do I test the CPS on this car ? It has the TD-74U distributor I think.

Jump start the car .. if
Check your spark plugs, cracks in distributor, coil and wires..if all are fine could be your ignitor .. never crank without distributor wires in place .. would blow your coil.

Were you able to resolve your issue? Check the resistance of your ignition coil.

Do you have fuel delivery? There is a relay behind your glove box called the "main relay" that allows delivery of both spark and fuel. If/when it fails, it'll take out both spark and fuel delivery.

Also, amerc, cranking your engine without the distributor wires in place will not blow up your coil. The spark plugs are the ground for the secondary side of your ignition coil. If you take away the ground, the secondary side won't build a voltage.
