09 civic squirrely on snow...trailing arm bushings?
Hi all....have an 09 civic with 115000km on it, bought 6 months ago. On snow and ice the car gets squirely and almost feels like it floats. it's actually quite scary. on dry highways it also feels like I'm driving in a cross wind. I do have winter tires on the vehicle. I've read a few posts that identify the trailing arm bushings as the culprit for the poor handling. I'm not overly mechanically inclined so has anybody been able to fix an issue like this with new bushing.
Put a jack under the car and get the tires in the air. wiggle them every way you can. Is everything tight? How many miles on the shocks? Dude go get an alignment.
Everything's tight just had the car up on jack. 115000km on struts. wheel alignment was fine 6 weeks ago and this issue has been happening a while.
best advice anyone can give you, and 90% of honda owners in the world, as well as 90% of owners of any other vehicle in existence:
If you can't do it yourself, take it to a shop. they exist for a reason.

you may just need an alignment, Wheelworks offers lifetime alignments for $170 and they run promotions where you can get it for $20 off, also it pays to get aftermarket camber kits for the front and back
