2002 Honda Accord SE J32A2 swap?
I've got a 2002 Honda Accord SE with a F23A motors and auto tranny. I'm looking to swap a j32a2 (god bless me) with a 6 speed. Is this even possible? Has any one done this before? If not what other swaps would be easier, looking for a 6 cylinder with ideally a manual tranny.
If you are serious about swapping in a J32A2/6spd into an Accord I'd suggest starting off with a model more readily setup for the swap, a 98-02 Accord V6(J30). This will have the correct suspension(springs) and brakes(280mm front disc/260mm rear disc, 5 lug) for the V6, fueling capabilities, as well as the mounts and configuration suited to fit the V6 underhood.
V6 and I4 are mounted on different sides under the engine bay, a V6 car will simplify installation as all the large needed parts(ps pump, A/C, alternator, etc) and wiring harness with be in the correct orientation. Further parts will be a 6spd shifter/shifter cables from the TL donor, brackets for the shifter(98-02 never had a 6spd), and then the interior dress parts for the manual shifter conversion(bezel/boots/brackets)and pedals from a 98-02 Accord MT.
