why dont my d17 rods fit in a d16y8 block with d17 crank???
how do they not fit? You need to actually ask a specific question because we are not sitting there looking at whatever it is you are trying to do.
no i guess im just bitching because loads and loads of people saaid it would work and it doesnt the crank will not spin with d17 rods in a d16 block.
Check the main journal specifications on the D16Y8 block in the FSM and then check the main journal specifications of the D17A1.
If they are not the same size, then you will run into major problems.
Instead of relying on third party information, you should probably do your own research before you go ripping into a motor blindly. At least then you can be fairly confident of what challenges you will be facing before you get started.
