Interior lights not turning off with doors
The dome and map lights of my 2014 Accord Coupe arent turning off even when all the doors are closed. Yes, they are all set to the "door" setting, neither do they turn on when the door is open or turn off when all doors are closed. Ive set the auto-dimming timer to 15 seconds however they stay on even when the car is in motion. Please help, any advice is much appreciated, thank you!
I've also taken a good look at the Owner's Manual and read the section about "Interior Lights". I seem to be doing everything correctly but the lights still dont turn off even when all doors are closed.
The issue may be due to the multiplex integrated control unit (MICU) that is part of the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Try this, disconnect the negative battery cable for several minutes (use a 10mm wrench, etc.). Then reconnect the negative battery cable. Essentially, you're going to try to reset the MICU.

Will give it a shot, thank you! And to reply to the previous comment, the other switches either turn the lights on or off. In the "door" setting, the map lights and dome light stay on. Whether the doors are open, closed or even when the vehicle is in motion. I've set the auto-dimming to 15 seconds and yet they stay on until turned off manually.

Did you try Tech8's suggestion?
This has me intrigued. :
Yeah I thought It was an error on my end as well but i've made sure, again and again. The dome light switch is in the middle at the "door" setting. The map lights have two options, ones off and the other im not sure its either ("on" or "door"). I've still yet to try Tech8's option. Hopefully it fixes the issue!
I just noticed that the map lights are governed by the same dome switch. So, they should behave the same as the dome light, apart from the regular on/off operation.
I assume you've already tried, but in case you haven't, put the switch into ON setting, leave it, and see how it behave when you close the door/lock the car. Then do the same with the OFF setting.
quite some weirdness you've got there...
edit:
I would check the wires going to the micu in case there are any obvious faults- exposed wires, shoddy crimps and loose wires, etc.

The ceiling light and the map lights have independent switches; so, the ceiling light switch would not cause the map lights to stay on. The switch is not the issue...
@Guards, I will do that! Maybe the settings got mixed up somehow.
@Tech8, what seems to be the issue then, sir? I will try to reset the MICU as soon as the weather clears up here (Canada). Thanks again!

Also, would you guys have any idea where the MICU is located for this vehicle? I've only had it for 5 days and driven it for 3 so everything is still fairly new to me.

Guards only recently joined, his advice regarding the switch is not correct.
"When the ceiling light switch is in the door activated position and any door is open, the map light will not go off when you press the lens."
The way it work: The dome light and the map lights are negative trigger from the door switches, each door switch wire run to the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) located in the under-dash fuse/relay box. The MICU controls the lights when the doors are open. If you actually had access to the electrical circuit diagrams and understood them, you would see they are independent switches.
If you re-read that, that would not mean the switches are not independent.

Report back your results. There is still an interior lights cut relay that may be shorted in the "closed" position that can cause your interior lights to stay on. The interior lights cut relay is a normally "open" type of relay.

I will give an update as soon as I give it a shot. *fingers crossed*
