92 honda civic d series d16z6 head code help?
I am trying to figure out what year my head is so i can get the correct rebuild but when i look up my head code its tells me its a 94 si stamped P08-5 but the year is stamped 9/2 correct me if i am wrong but if its stamped 9/2 doesnt that mean it is a 92 civic si please help i have looked all over online and cant seem to find any answers i also added pics of the tranny and the serial numbers that i could see

From that you can see the P08 head code is for the D16Z6. Your year code is 92 so it appears to be the original head.
The -4,-5,-2 has been speculated as the casting station. It's believed that there was more than one casting station per head style so the -x number is a bit less relevant.
Also of note, there isn't a difference between a 92 or a 93 or a 94 or a 95 d16Z6 head as far as I know. It will all take the same parts regardless of the 4 years.
What is disgusting to see is the gross amounts of RTV used to seal up the valve cover gasket. That is far from the proper way to stop the gasket from leaking....
