Icon5 Fuel Pump Hangers

Am really hoping someone out there has had an incident with a fuel pump hanger assembly >>> Maybe thought the pump was dead, when really it was the hanger.

How important is it to change? What types of problems would they have? And... repairing/cleaning/restoring vs. replacement?

Please share your experiences and/or knowledge

THANKS.

Hanger assembly?

What's wrong with it? I've never personally come across a bad fuel pump assembly.

If you are talking about the hard pipes that go through the cover being rotten. There are some places that could solder in a new set of tubes. I used to send rotten sending units to a radiator repair shop. They would bend up a couple new pipes and solder them in. But that's back when the units were really expensive and shops actually repaired parts vs replacing them with cheaper slave labour Chinese parts!
