Is speedometer for the Wagon unique?
I have a '97 Accord Wagon and have determined that my intermittently-working speedometer is probably due to a faulty PCB, and it needs to be replaced. However the speedo in my car is slightly different than the ones I see for sedans; mine has some small "bumps" on its face. Most of the ones on eBay are for sedans, and don't have these surface bumps. I do believe the Wagon's final drive ratio is different than a sedan. Can I replace the PCB from the back of my speedo with the PCB from any '96 or '97 Accord, or does it have to be specific to a Wagon?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Bumps? As in blisters about the size of the visible gauge screws? That is just a defect in the gauge faces, '95 Coupe has a couple, '97 Sedan does not.
As for gauges, the only differences are with the clusters, the ATs have the PRND321 lights in the center, 4drs/agns have the additional door alarm lights for the rear doors, and I *think* the wagon either states 'liftgate' or shows a different picture for the trunk left open vs the coupe/sedan that shows a decklid image. Try and stick with the same year or have your old one with you when comparing. Honda did change a few electrical components around over the years, but they should be electrically compatible.
