M/T in an Odyssey daily
I am curious if anyone has done this and is it possible for use as a daily. I don't like automatic transmissions, the last vehicle I owned that had one was a real problem. This is why I am seeking information as I have seen exotic builds but nothing for daily use. I would like like to use a MDX engine due to the 3.7L displacement and 300 hp from the factory. The cars I have are swapped EF's and I find them to be fun to drive and not problematic to change powertrains and/or drive as daily transportation. They are simple and fun to drive. I am 54 and have done the work on the cars myself. The goal is to have a vehicle that I can travel in and carry stuff. Automatics don't appeal to me at all, so I am trying to find if this can be done with a reasonable amount of work and money. I realize that the transmission will be the expensive piece of the puzzle. What else will I need as far as shifter, pedals and ecu? Anyone able to help will be appreciated.

I don't think the tranny will be the expensive part as there are TL-S trannys out there that would bolt to the J series V6. I'm not sure it will be so much expensive as it will be time consuming, and mostly one-off stuff for clutch lines, pedal assembly/brake pedal assembly work, shifter box, etc.
You never mentioned exact year model or even generation of Odyssey - which one are you looking at? That will determine a lot of things.
