Knock off, OEM, legit aftermarket? I'm not a Prelude guy but I'm in to saving rare parts that other people might want, when I can.

It is a Mugen "style", so I would at least look to see if it has any badging. Personally I would say keep it, even if it's a knockoff, I am sure someone would buy it, instead of sending it to a crusher.

Not positive on the 5th gen ones, but there should be a badge on the back, and possibly molded in elsewhere.
I would doubt it's genuine, as they cost over $800 usd when new, so people usually held onto them.

I'd think a genuine Mugen part would have it molded in as noted, more than likely an eBay knockoff.
