Default Honda Civic FD1 (1,8 2009) overheating!?

Dear Honda lovers
I would like to propose opinions on my problem.
I have Honda civic 1,8 2009. Recently i noticed that my temp gauge starts to go crazy, it does not keep oil temp steady, it raise quiet high then when fan starts to blow it fall down. It varies alot... It does not matter if i drive faster or slower. Weird thing is that this happened when outside temp. is under 0 deg of celsius. I am worryed

Check that your have full coolant. Check if both of your fans are both working. If they are, then check if both radiator hoses are hot. They should both be hot when the car is warmed up.

Sounds like air in the system try to bleed it and see what happens, it could also be a bad thermostat, I would just replace it, they are cheep enough, top off coolant then bleed the system. when done top off coolant again.94

Thank you guys, i have "Date" with mechanic today. I really hope that some of this issues are in question, and not that mysterious R18A1 I4 cracking :S. It could be something like that because i noticed some leaking in the back of radiator... it is not oil... colant is in the right level... so i hope air is the one that caused problem.I really love my Honda but guy i bought it from had deer hitting accident... and they did not do good job repairing my baby.

It takes less than 5 seconds to check if the fans are working or if the hoses are both hot throughout them. But I guess if you have money to burn you can go pay a mechanic to do that instead.

The problem was caused by disconnected pipes from the radiator and expansion container.
I fix it for now, but i did not install original honda part because at shop they can not find
what is exact part to order. Can someone who have car like that post a foto of this connection pipe and help me what is exact part
i need? The one that was installed seems too short ... i have suspicion they instal similar one...and this all add to thing i mentioned before that
they did not done fix job rightt
P.S.: talking about economic aspect of this situation it set me back 250HRK (35 USD)
