CRV engine fan starts when you start the car

CRV engine fan starts when you start the car

We have a 2014 CRV and the Engine fan turns on when you start the car even if the car is cold.
Should this happen? Doesn't seem logical.

If the AC is on the fans will always run. Turn the HVAC off and see if the fans stop.
