Icon5 crash cage for cbr1000rr 11

Hey!I bought lately crash cage for my CBR1000rr 11.But before i install that some one told me that he installed crash cage on same bike and after some time mounting bolts are sentenced. With no visible reason-the bike wasn't dropped or crashed. Now i doubt if i want to install it on my bike... Some one can explain that???

I wouldn't because a) they are ugly b) if the bike goes down at high speed they really aren't going to do much (more for slow speed traffic situations) c) i would personally constantly be bumping my knee when rolling the bike around

Those are just my personal reasons. Not only that if I laid a bike down i'd hope for it to be written off anyway because most of the time trying to resell a bike laid down at speed is a nightmare.

I've got an '08 1000rr and never put any sliders on although it has spools for the rear stand which may help. What the hell is a crash cage exactly?
