Icon4 Strange noise from timing belt side

Hi guys ! I have a strange noise coming from my timing belt cover somewhere below the middle of it.The car is 5th gen prelude with the eudm 2.0 133bhp petrol engine. All the belts and pulleys are new + the water pump. The noise is on idle (sounds like a rotational grind) and around 1000 to 1200/300 rpms. I shot a vide today so i can describe it better here is a link

Then it's likely going to be a bearing on either the alternator, the ac compressor, or the power steering pump. Spin em and see which one is rough.

Check the distributor bearing as well as seeing if it goes away after pressing in the clutch.

I meant check if the noise goes away after you press in the clutch because it could be the input shaft bearing that's bad. This was separate in itself from "Check the distributor bearing" as they have no correlation. I should have put them in different sentences. The input shaft bearing spins whenever the clutch is not pressed in so pressing in the clutch and the noise going away would point to the input shaft bearing being bad.

I would suppose if you still can't find the noise then it could be the oil pump, which would be extremely unusual, or the balance shaft bearings.

To test balance shafts, you just run without the belt, which would have no negative effect on the engine other than a slight vibration the balance shafts are meant to quiet.

How to check the bearing and what should i look for? And last but not least, the distributor is on the other side of the engine,is it possible for the noise to travel this much, cuz its quite more pronounce on the timing belt area.

I also think it's the distributor bearing. But like 100 other people have told you by now I'm sure you checked it out by now. Good luck findingthe problem.
