I have a 1992 accord ex 5 speed. 5th gear when out when driving on freeway. It just revs with no engagement. No grinding or anything like that. Just no 5th gear. The shifter will go into 5th fine just there is no engagement when clutch pedal is released. All other gears work fine. Is 5th gear easy to replace like some previous models? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

 

Sounds like something seriously broke inside for the 5th gear. If it was the shift fork or cable you would have the same issue in 3rd.

 

3rd is fine. On that year car is 5th gear synchros easy to replace like in previous years of accords?
