Default 07 civic engine block

So looking to purchase an 07 civic with a replaced block about 30k miles ago. Anyone know if the new block is better or just the same. And any issues after the replacent? Or has it been a solid replacent/fix. Thanks

I've yet to hear of any problems out of the ones we've repaired. The nice thing about this job is you get not only a new block but a new crank, pistons, rods, oil pan, and head gasket as well as many seals and many components resealed. Maybe others can chime in with their experiences but it would be a big plus for me if I were the buyer.

Best of luck with your purchase!

Civic had cracked engine block issue. Because of that the engine block warranty was extended to 10 years, unlimited mileage. If the block was replaced by the dealer under the extended warranty all should be good. Just in case I would have the car inspected before buying by reputable Honda mechanic. There could be issues if somebody was driving with low coolant before noticing engine block leak.

Updated block won't crack like the others 06-08. I'm driving an 07 hoping it will crack soon.
