Swapping Integra DA LS into EF
I have an 89 Civic Si but the engine is blown when I bought it and need to rebuild the pistons. Now I found a good deal for an 89 Integra LS with stock engine with around 160k miles for about $300 for the whole car. It doesn't have spark right now, but owner said it used to work great with good engine and tranny.
In your opinion, should I just rebuild my stock D16A6 or buy the 89 Integra with LS swap. I don't mind not keeping my EF Si as stock, but will there will be a significant HP increase and also torque? I've been doing some reading on power rating and it seems HP increase is decent, but not that great. I will only use this for daily driving and want to enjoy it.
I will ask my friend to do the motor rebuild or motor swap for me. Should I just rebuild my D16A6 or just swap the DA LS motor?

I think you should clarify what country you're in. Reason being is some markets have the first generation Integra end at model year 89 while some other begin the second generation at model year 89. Each have two very distinct engines and one of the two isn't a common swap. Both are doable but you'd need clarify which car or which engine specifically you're considering swapping in.
the 89 USDM Integra D16A1 will not bolt right into your 89 Civic - has different mounts - doesn't mate right up to your transmission, but that can be overcome - 89 D16A1 horsepower is about 118
