Interchangeable Suspension Parts For My 97 EX Coupe
Hello everybody! I'm in the process of re-doing my 1997 Civic EX Coupe basically from the ground up, and I've come to the suspension portion of the job.
I have a 1991 Acura Integra LS 3-door hatchback as a parts car as well, and I was wondering what suspension parts that would fit on the Civic from the Integra.
Here's what I was hoping to do:
- Full trailing arm assembly (trailing arms, trailing arm bushings, lower control arms, upper control arms and compensator arms), obviously doing this for the rear disc swap
- Rear coilovers
- Front knuckle assemblies, including the lower control arms
- Front coilovers
I would also obviously be using the Integra brake proportioning valve as well, and I would be ordering a set of e-brake cables made for an EM1 I would assume?
Is this all going to work out for me?
Thank you in advance!
- DJ

Rear trailing arms are all you need. The other arms need to be from the civic.
Front knuckles won't work. EX front brakes are the same as EM1 front brakes so you're gtg there.
Front and rear suspension is not going to work, it won't fit right, the shocks are tall in the rear and I think short in the front. You may be able to use the front forks to use the suspension, but I know for sure the rear won't work.
Rear brake lines for an EM1 is correct.
I believe the prop valve from the DA also works.

Thank you for the response, it's very appreciated!
Leave the front alone, it's the same as the DA integra as far as caliper, rotor, etc.
All you need from the DA is the rear trailing arms, the toe arms and LCAs you'll reuse off the civic.
Remember when/if you ever need to replace the TA bushings, you can ONLY use 90-93 Integra bushings, the Civic/DC ones won't fit. Everything else is basically the same.
