I want to put a d16y8 head on my obd1 d16z6 crx. Someone told me that the d16y8 distributor will work fine with the p28 ecu. Is this correct? If not has anyone taken the internals froma d16z6 distributor and put them in the y8 case. I don't want to hack up the mounting points to make a z6 distributor fir on the y8 head and I am going to stay obd1. Any insight is much appreciated.

no need to hack up anything. just use odbII distributor, and repin the distributor to OBDI plugs.
