1998 civic lx (4 door) 5 lug help
hey guys i just got my first honda haha and its a 1998 honda lx. so my plan is to do a k swap and this is why its coming down to doing a 5 lug for the 36mm axle
i need help if my research is correct or not. i did a bunch. some are clear some are not so im just going to blast it out here.
front brakes im gonna get :
crv or rsx type s caliper bracket (i believe its called 23t or something? do i need to tell the advance guy that or just tell them that its 97-01 crv?)
acura legend dual piston calipers
crv/rsx type s brake pads and rotors
AND crv (97-01) knuckles with hubs/bearing because i want the 36mm.
^ if thats correct now this is my next question.
im getting a ekk2 mount kit and i plan on getting a dc2 subframe (dc subframe bolts) and dc2 power steering rack.
with the knuckles being changed to crv, can i still get dc2 lca (because of the subframe) and bolt up to crv knucles? and what about the upper control arm? can i just get it for the civic lx and it should be okay?
i saw people saying you have to use eg/dc shock forks but some say you can use ex meaning i can use my original one thats already on there? i have coilovers already on there id rather not swap it out and just keep it
REAR:
im getting crv or rsx type s hub with bearing and putting that onto my existing spindle.
do i need to use the mazda nut for this?
then crv or type s caliper with bracket and pads and rotors.
am i on the right track here?
side note, whats the lowest offset i can run after this conversion? does it change? i have front disc but rear drums. i have some xxr mesh 16x8 idk the offset
thanks a bunch in advance. im so excited lol
