Is it possible to switch from 97 Accord SI-R ECU to Euro R ECU?
I have an Accord with a JDM H22A out of a 97 Accord SiR and I'm just curious if I could change the ECU and use an ECU from a 97 Accord Euro R since it is essentially the same engine
What is your current setup, Year, Model of car and what year model ECU?
From what I have read using a stock Euro R ECU is a lot easier said than done. If you need to stay OBD2 it would probably be cheaper to see if you can find a 96 P13 ECU. They are not the easiest to find, but they are the only OBD2 H22 ECU that doesn't have an immobilizer.
Other than that it would be converting to a tuneable OBD1 ECU and getting it chipped & tuned.
