Default Ep3 daily driver

I'm looking at purchasing either an 04-05 EP3 or an 05-06 RSX. What is the general consensus from drivers about the EP3? I've heard mixed things about the handling and some negative things about the transmissions aside from the underpowered motor. I believe that an rsx would probably be a better choice because it's a better ride and a bigger car but I wanted to ask since I like the quirky styling of the EP3.

I'm assuming you're not talking about a Type S?

I think the Si is a better package overall - more trunk space, better rear seats, and groovy shifter placement. If it's a DD, any handling advantage on the RSX is more than offset by those bennies on the Si.

But the choice is all personal, honestly, and the best thing is for you to try them both out and pick which one you like.

Biased opinion here (EP3 owner) but the hatchback is really practical and the interior is nicer. You'll also have a better chance of finding one in great condition because a lot of EP3s are owned by old people.

if you're using for just d/d purposes its a great car. plenty of room for storage purposes and the motor is more than quick enough for daily driving.

for setting up a track car or heavy modding there are certainly better platforms

i like mine, no complaints but if i was trying to build a firebreather i'd look for something else.

the vtec killer setup can push the k20a3 to 190 who or so.

lol. Where? I have always felt the EP is more rare than the RSX in general.

When I got mine last year, there were a good amount in NJ on Craigslist to choose from. A good percentage had only a grapefruit shooter exhaust on the mod list.
