Default gain more HP with non vtec B18b

Hello, new to the Honda world, building a motor for circle track stock car, looking for tips to increase Hp with a stock "ish" non vtec b18b, allowable's - header, remove cat, remove power steering
What you can't run, turbo's, NOS, aftermarket intakes, fuel systems. Is there better stock head that will work? Better flowing stock intakes/heads/pistons? I can do some machining if required. I also have a zc non vtec, is there much that can be done to it? Figure I will run a light weight flywheel, racing clutch, just looking for some more HP. thanks

I'm guessing you're limited based on your race class?

Port and polish would help, but is costly. 3 angle/45 degree valve job...

Besides that, see if you can fit a Type-R (B18C5) intake manifold on the car, as well as a B18C exhaust manifold. I'm pretty sure you could still throw some non-VTEC high lobe cams in there as well if you wanted (and if allowed by the race class).

Edit: I'm actually pretty sure the Type-R manifold(s) have different bolt patterns between the B16/B18C and the B18B. You probably couldn't use those. You're very limited on options, anything that will actually make worthwhile gains will be costly.

OP has only one post asking for how to make more power on a **** weak engine that apparently is VERY limited on options.

**** me for trying. The point is his only options for keeping it non vtec, "stock-ish", and naturally aspirated and trying to make more power are all going to be extremely costly and ultimately inefficient. Even with higher compression pistons and cams he'd be lucky to reach 170+.

Easy and mostly free dont know how much power it will help make but getting thermal insulating gaskets on your intake and throttle body(not free). Then bypass your throttle body cooling (it runs warm/hot coolant through the throttle body to minimise thermal expansion of the metal). Can you ECU mod your car? That with the above post may yield better performance and allow for running of E85 for really high compression.

(Costly)
Port+Polish head
High Comp Pistons/Rods 14/1 or higher on e85
Thermal gaskets
Cam Gears
Cams (stage 2 or 3)
Valves, springs and retainers (needed with stage 2/3 NA cams)
Really nice radiator (since most likely your races are longer than 10 seconds)

Since you will be spending most of the race between 6-8k rpm I would look for parts that yield higher returns there.
If u need help finding any of these parts cheaper msg me.
