H23A VTEC + 97 Accord Wagon

H23A VTEC + 97 Accord Wagon
New here, and howdy.
I let my little brother borrow my beloved 97 EX Wagon over the summer and he managed to overheat and blow my engine.
So, I need a new one.
I bought a H23A DOHC VTEC JDM Blue Top imported from an SiR Wagon. Now to build it...
Plan so far:
1. Get it running on the JDM ECU w/ my stock auto trans. Drive it til Emissions Inspection time.
2. Swap in all H22A4 periphals and USDM ECU from a post-97 Prelude. Pass Emissions.
3. Run like this til 2022 when I don't have to get emissions anymore, then swap in a 5speed and chipped OBD1 ECU...
