Default 88' CRX Si build

Well this is my first time creating a thread or post on here . I've just been creeping the last 6-8 months. But about 3 weeks ago I bought an 88' CRX Si and started the process .

The turd I picked up. Nothing too crazy. Clean title, B18b, bondo on the back left fender, custom yellow fade paint. A project.
So two days ago I stay the process . Just pulling out the interior . Now I know people usually freak out and say "Why do this to a CRX?" Why not? I'm not looking to restore. And I know it wasn't much wieght to pull out. But it's a start. Before.
After.
The amp is from the previous owner. Haven't gotten a chance to check out all the wiring, but it won't be in there for long.

As you can see the car used to be red.
Well this is pretty much all I've got right now for . . .whoever is reading this. Right now I'm wanting to make a street car build. Something that car run with modified Corvette. So I'm considering getting a GSR, building that, get a tune and by tax return to turbo. Still in the air though. As far as the bodywork, it's not my main concern right now,but definitely going to clean it up and paint it.

Well if anyone has any input/tips/help I'm open. Thank you.

I'll be posting more soon.

Good start. Paint it Y49 lol. As for your set up it depends which route you want to go. For turbo B is cheaper and more reliable. Plus they put up great numbers when built properly. For all motor you can't beat K. But I don't think an all motor K will run a modded Vette. If it does it definitely can't be daily driven. Or if you want an overhaul and no hood go K turbo.

I'm leaning towards a gsr I might pick up this weekend . Or would it be better to keep the B18b that's in it ? Thanks for the input.

GSRs are great motors and if the price is right I would grab it all day. B18b are almost always used to go Turbo LSV. My suggestion is to get the GSR and swap it in and build an LSV. That's what I would do. But idk your budget, time situation, etc

Thank you for the imput. So I'm going this weekend to pick up the GSR, but now I can't decide if I should buy the full change over or just the long block itself.
If I plan on building it(axles pistons headers cams rods bearings) would it be better just to get the long block?

Depending on the price difference and your budget. You can always get a pretty penny for GSR stuff. If the price difference isn't too much and is affordable then get the whole thing. But I personally piece my builds together. That way I know exactly what's going on internally.

Would you say that there is a major difference between the obd1 and the obd2? That's what is come down to today.

But they don't have obd1 GSRs in Stock right now.
