Integral cruise control will not work while headlights are on

Integral cruise control will not work while headlights are on
i recently replaced my clutch switch to make my cruise control start working. Which is worked until I was driving home in the evening and the cruise would not come on. I flipped my headlights off and pushed the button and the cruise worked. I turned the lights back on and the cruise cut off. Anyone head of this before??
