I just did this. Annoying, really. But if you have to. I used tin/metal and cut a thin strip with scissors, stuck it under leg, soldered it, cut to length. Pain. I can't tell you how many times I dropped the leg.

Is this what you're even referring to? This was my 28 pin eprom chip..

Well, it didn't hang on very well but would allow you to plug it in and read the data off. This was some left over flashing I had laying around... which I think was aluminium. The last time I did this, it held together permanently. I think tin/metal is what you need. Maybe a real 'tin' can with steel. You have to cut a tiny tiny tiny piece but it's possible as you can see.

If you have a reader/burner try pressing down on the chip and read the program. Most of time the broken leg will make contact and then you can burn a replacement chip

No RTP signal? Are you doing this with the Flash -n- Burn software?

Find a metal pin and insert it alongside the damaged chip leg making sure it makes contact, hold it in place and click READ CHIP and then /VERIFY CHIP w/BUFFER. Once you see SUCCESSFUL, put in a new chip and click PROGRAM CHIP

Is the xhip installed in the lower holes of the Burn2 and is the half moon on the chip pointing towards the lock handle?

pull the negative battery cable or the fuse for the ECU for 15 seconds, then restart the car (it has to be cold) and then let it idle until the radiator fan cycles on a couple of times, without touching the throttle the entire time.

Hello,
What kind of eeprom reader are you using? Is that a 256KB or a 512KB memory? Take in mind if you are using a 512, you need to set the offset to 008000
