Can ANY wheel be polished?

Can I polish just about any wheel by using the sanding technique that has been posted here a few times?

Not just any metal will polish. If the wheel is aluminum yes, but expect to take a long time.

Basically any aftermarket wheel can be polished unless it is just a total piece of crap wheel.
