I googled this as I am curious about making another key for my 2006 CRV. There are DIYs on you tube for programming the fob. A blank key will cost $20-60. The blank will need to be cut by a locksmith (Walmart). The fob will need to be paired with your vehicle - this is where the "programming" happens. You can do this manually by following a sequence of actions
I found this, but have not tried it.

I believe this is your key without the fob

I believe that the key and the fob need to be programmed separately. I may be wrong for keys that function as both (like mine). Maybe only Honda can program the non-fob transponder only keys.
Edit:
After more reading apparently only Honda can program the key transponder unless you spend $70 on this piece of hardware, which I just saw work on a 2006 Accord via youtube

So if Honda is charging 250, you can DIY this for ~100 and you can keep the tools when you're done. Then list your new abilities on Craigslist and make a fortune
