Is this essentially a street car that you're getting drag rubber for? What do you have going on for fenders, etc?

What wheels you going to put them on?

If it is a race car, and you haven't bought wheels yet I think you're going to want
24.5/7.0-13 or
24.5/8.0-13

That will provide the best performance. If you use the 20/8/14's you're not going to get the same type of hook up for sure.

If you're just doing brackets, etc. and they are cheap and you have a set of somewhat lightweight rims it would probably be worth doing..

yea this is a street car...and weekend racer. like i said they are MH slicks mounted on lightweight Bogarts, so i want something that will give me decent 60 ft and mph.
my friend is hookin it up for a good price and its hard to turn down. should i get em or is there another size that would make a significant difference? thanx

M&H doesnt make a 20x8x14 slick.

i would use a 22x8x13, that size is good for up to 250hp all motor. and prolly even more. you will already take the 20" slick to its limits with the amt of HP you have

damn...24.5" is super huge for 190-200whp

A lot of guys I know think the 24.5" tires are still too big for teh turbo setups. I guess it's all gearing though

I just bought a set of 20/6/14 bogart mickey thompson set up, for my 204whp gsr. The set of slicks and skinnies works excellent but! your not going to be able to rev it up and dump the clutch. Yuo have to come off real hard like almost a fast red light but harder. The thing is your going to benefit from the increased gear ratio. The slicks will spin some but you will be able to keep it floored because the traction the slicks give you, will not let the motor over rev if you undeerstand. The motor will stay singnig but you will also be accelerating. If you want a set up where you can rev it up and dump it . then you need to go with something like a 13" rim and like a 22" slick. The offset to that is its gonna take you longer to wind the gears out and you will cross the line in upper 3rd or just ahve to shift in 4th. The 14" set up you will be way in 4th where the motor is just pulling hard. I know this because i have the saame power you do and the samne slicks. if you want to know more just let me know , i have a lot of experince at the track. 2700 lb gsr full interor , b18c with a dpr stage 6 head full race valvetrain, with only skunk stage 1 cams , 13:1 cpr
aem intake tube , skunk intake mainfold done by dpr. no cat , greddy sp exhausst . The motor has stock bore 81.5 and stock stroke 87mm so this thing sings. it makeit peak power at 8900-9300 rpm. Hondata also, 350cc injctors that are max out. Have fun bro.
