I was searching the web the other day for some wheel options and came across a white 04 like mine with painted white oem wheels. I kept looking and looking at the picture and thought it was look nice in gold. So I looked up the process and did my oem wheels in gold last weekend. It actually came out better than I thought and for the meantime, while I save up for some volks in winning gold, these will do nicely! They were a lot brighter gold before I gave them 2 coats of clear. anyone else have painted OEM Wheels?

 

Looks good , what paint did you use?

 

just normal rust-oleum metallic bright gold paint. I'm going to wet sand them down and then spray another coat of clear on them.

 

Are you new to Hondas? This isn't a VW forum. We can't be buying real rotas in multiple colors. Aint nobody got money for that

 

 

Obviously looks are entirely subjective, but painting a set of factory wheels other then the color they came in (or very similar) looks pretty bad to me. But, at the end of the day... my opinion shouldn't matter.
