So my crank and one of my rods went out on my y7 so now I'm getting ready to tackle rebuilding the block next week. I ordered this y8 crank kit (the only crank kit I could find). It came with a crank,thrust washers, rod bearing, head gasket and piston rings. Will I be able to use all these components on my y7 block? It's my understanding the only thing that sets the 2 engines apart is the vtec head of the y8 and the oil pans. Please help.
