OBD2b harness on obd2a motor....?
I'm using a obd2b automatic d16y8 wiring harness on an obd2a b16a2 . Right off the bat I noticed the crank sensor and the distributor plugs were different , there's a bunch of more plugs then the original obd2a b16 harness that was on the motor when I got it . Searched around a bit and couldn't find any direct answers , hopefully someone can clear this up . Thanks , gratitude and appreciation .
Yes there's a bunch more plugs, because its an automatic harness from a D-series.
If you want to stick with that harness, fine, but you need to pull it back off and match everything up so you won't get confused. Label the wires.

so what about the crank sensor? someone told me if I used a obd1 Ecu on a obd2b jumper then I don't have to run the crank sensor or the knock sensor but I'd rather not.... I wanted to run a p2t Ecu cause I located one easy to run on the d16 harness . Damn this is a huge pain in the ***. I wish I had bought a 96- 97 ek . Another person said something about Intake sensor I have to re wire it and the distributor .... I hate wiring , I've only done plug and play swaps before... Sigh , please help . I'm literally loosing sleep waking up thinking about how I'm going to wire this thing up at 4 am..lol
Uhhh....just match up most of the plugs, injectors to injectors, alternator -> alternator, etc..etc...take pic of what you can identify and where did they plug into previously on the D
