Default 89 crx si high idle issue

hello fellow ef enthusiasts. I recently purchased a 89 crx si. I'm having 2 issues with the car. I don't know if they are related or where to begin to trouble shoot so I'm hoping that maybe someone on here might recognize the symptoms. First issue is the car idles at a steady 1500 rpm even after warmed up. if I'm parked and in neutral and lightly tap the accelerator the idle will momentarily drop to the proper 750-800 rpm range and the shoot right back up again. The second issue is under acceleration at low rpms from the 1500 idle to about 3500 rpm it will break up pretty bad, the only way I can describe it is it feels like when you shift from first to fifth gear and the rpms are to low and it wants to stall out. I think it may be fuel related but I really don't know. I was told the high idle might be IACV or fitv related. The car does have single cam vtec head, a chipped p28 computer and a obd1 conversion. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on HT everyday lurking around so I will reply pretty quick. If any additional info is needed let me know. Thank you.

So I'm going to try cleaning the IAC and FIT valves and see what happens. I'll keep you posted 😀
