I know I know. Stupidest question but I'm a noob. How would I go about knowing if I have a vtec engine or nah? My car is a Honda Accord V6 1999 Coupe 3.0 ? People keep asking me if it's vtec or not and tbh I don't know. It's not written ' vtec ' on the engine or anything so I'm guessing no?

Simple answer is "yes" the v6 J30A does use vtec.

Now what you - and your "friends" - might not understand is there are several ways to use this tech....performance or economy. The Accord's use this more for fuel saving, economy than performance. So don't think that there is anything really special about having it in your Accord.....yea there might be this slight "butt" feel as the RPM's go up but it isn't anything to get worked up about.

I'm not trying to be an "A hole", just trying to give facts.

That answers my question! So I'm guessing since it's not performance related that's why it's not written vtec anywhere? At least now I know a bit more about my car haha
