so i had a problem arise today, my car will crank and crank and crank slowly, then all of a sudden get a random surge of power and start up, when it cranks i can hear the main relay clicking. I would get a video of it to show better of what i mean... but during trying to figure it out i broke the screen.. yay me. But anyway battery is brand new, just swapped the starter with a known working one, what could be the issue? ECU issue? fuel pump? I can hear the fuel pump kick on, if i turn the key and let it build up pressure it doesn't matter, still takes forever to start. As much help would be appreciated!!

 

May be an ignition switch problem. Test it. See diagram in FAQs sticky.

 

Anytime there is an electrical issue, [slow cranking sudden surge of power] the first thing to do is check/redo the main grounds, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine, DO NOT just eyeball them, disconnect/clean/reconnect. 94
