90 CRX HF Troubles
First of all, I'm new to the forum and new to Honda.
I have a 1990 CRX HF with the stock D15B6 engine. The car was running great until I slung a rod through the block. I bought a low mileage replacement engine from a garage that specializes in CRXs. After swapping them, the car does not run correctly.
The problem is it will misfire/backfire unless it is under load. Like when the A/C is on, it runs fine.
The car has a new dizzy, plugs, plug wires, head gasket, intake manifold gasket, timing belt (it is timed correctly), cleaned and working IACV, the valves are adjusted, I cannot find a vacuum leak, cooling system is purged of air, and everything is connected correctly. I am using the intake and exhaust manifolds from the old engine because I know they work.
I am out of ideas, please help.
