Hi everyone,

My 2007 Accord EX has a metallic grinding sound coming from the passenger front tire area. It seems to mainly happen when I am braking and turning left. It also happens when I am straightening the wheel from turning left. I am thinking it may be the brake dust shield but wanted to get some feedback from some others on this.

I have spent some real quality time under just that area the last several days and I would guess the same - the heat (dust) shield but there is a small possibility it is the outer tie rod end, the top ball joint or the bottom ball joint. Might as well jack it up, take off the wheel and inspect it all IMHO. Have someone in the car twist the steering wheel back and forth while you're under there if you can.
