All Power Door locks not working with the remote key
My crv 2004 is not working with the remote.... all doors cannot be locked by remote key BUT all the doors can be locked and unlocked through driver's switch button.... one more thing when i insert manually the key its only unlocking or locking the drivers door
Ensure that the red LED on the transmitter is is lighting up when the buttons are pressed. This is a quick check to see if the battery is good. If it is lighting you may have to reprogram the transmitter to the car. To do this:
1-Sit in the driver's seat with the doors closed.
2-Turn the key to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
3-Press and release the lock button on the transmitter.
4-Turn the ignition to OFF.
5-Repeat steps 2-4 until locks cycle when the lock button is pressed. DO NOT TURN IGNITION OFF YET!
6-Immediately press the unlock button on the transmitter and turn ignition to OFF
7-Remove the key from the ignition and test the transmitter to see if locks will cycle. If not, try the programming procedure again.
If the transmitter won't program you may have a potential issue with the keyless entry control unit.
Unlocking the door with the key will only unlock the driver's door. This is normal. However, locking the door with the key should lock all doors. This is meant to be a safety feature so that some stranger can't open one of the other doors when you unlock yours. Hope this helps.
