Well, the blower motor stopped working on settings 1 and 2. It's usually one of the blower motor resistors "opening up". So, I removed the trim under the glove compartment and took some pictures with a digital camera to locate the resistor module. I disconnected the cable and took the 2 screws out....totally by "feel"....couldn't see anything (I'm not that flexible)! I confirmed that the old module was bad (open). Getting the new module "in" may not be so simple. I don't have three hands! One to hold the module in place, one to hold the screw, and one to hold/turn the screwdriver! So, given that I can't see what I'm doing, what is the best approach?? Would it be a good idea to try and tape the module in place and then try to get the screws in? The factory service manual doesn't tell you anything about these things!! Wondering if a local repair shop might have some hints. Or, maybe someone on this forum! When I've got it, I WILL post.

 

Hold it with your hand and thread the screw in with the other hand. You can also put a dab of grease on the screwdriver when you put the screw on it to hold it in place.

 

GOT IT!!! It helps to sit on the passenger side running board and look under the dashboard.
Get one of the screws started and tighten it up almost all of the way.
Then, start the second screw and tighten it up.
Do a final tightening of both screws.

All four blower speeds are now working!
