My husband took the oil stick tube off working on my sons car an has lost the bolt that holds oil dipstick tube......any possible way someone knows screw info for oil tube for 2000 honda accord ex.....my husband thought it was a 10mm .25inch but the screw autozone showed me was huge.......autozone also asked about threading?? can anyone help me with size (or all info needed) so we can just buy a replacement screw an dont have to track down a car at a junkyard somewhere to find one?

 

The Honda part number is 93401-06012-08. It is a 6 x 12 metric bolt. Local Dealer may have it in stock.

Probably a M6 - 1.0 x 12 bolt.

1.0 would be the thread pitch. 12 is the length.

Take the bolt from the rear license plate to check the thread pitch by trying to screw it in by hand. The license play bolt is a little longer though.

Local hardware store may or may not have the bolt.
