Clunking Sound on Decel
Hello, H-T!
I have a stock automatic 1998 honda civic DX with a completely refreshed front end. Absolutely everything is new, bushings, bearings, tie rods, axles, etc.
Out of nowhere, I start hearing a clunking noise that is speed dependent. I only hear it on decel off the brakes. Braking or accelerating at all completely silences it.
Jacked up the front end and wheels have zero play at all from any angle you can think to rock it back and forth from.
Any ideas? Thanks!
To better describe it, it's not a clicking like a bad CV axle. It's a clunk like you have a flat tire.
Some more details -
Doesn't pull in any direction.
It clunks fast at 50 but slows when I slow down. Slow clunk at 10 mph, etc.
Does it going straight, turning, changing lanes, anything.
