Default Comp Clutch Direction?

Hey bro's, hopefully a simple question here. Which direction should the comp 6 puck clutch face? One way it appears it would get beat horribly by the flywheel bolts, the other, it sits flat against the flywheel. I'm only asking because I don't want to drop the trans again, and am trying to track down why it won't disengage when the car is running.

If you have the spring disc, the part that pops out goes toward the transmission, and the flat side goes on the flywheel.
