b16a rebuilt head smoking plz help

Default b16a rebuilt head smoking plz help

freshly built b16a head i did super tech guides valve seals retainers duel springs flat valves cam seals an tapped for b20v the problem is i had this head put on a b20 motor it smoked bad so i bought another b20 motor drove for 1 month no smoke at all perfect compression put the b16 head on an its smoking again an i also replaced the valves seals thinking it was an instalation errror b20v reads 210 across all 4 just caint seem to figure out wat went wrong the head was on my b16 block for 2 years no smoke built it an now smokes any ideas an opinions are appritiated thanks in advance ...

Either it is a seal install error and you did it wrong again or your guides are leaking with the new valves in them. Did you get the guides checked or replaced?

that wat i think it has something to do with the valves becuz i ran this head b4 stock never smoked built the head changed valve to std flat an now it just smokes valve seales replaced 3 times now an everytime same smoke amount also is alot worst on start up an cold the guides the machine shop told me were fine but they caint possibly b fine

Should be able to tell if the seals are bad by pulling the IM, you have to pull it anyway to pull the head, if they look good I would check both the head and deck for "flatness". 94
